Secure yourself while using Credit Card

1.                  Sign the signature panel on your Credit Card(s) as soon as you receive them.

2.                  Subscribe to Credit Statements through email. Limit the use of physical statements.

3.                  View and verify all your credit card statements online and be on the lookout for unusual charges.

4.                  Be sure your credit card is returned to you after completing a purchase and make sure that the card that has been returned, is your own. It is safer to have the card swiped in your presence.

5.                  Always take your charge slips with you and verify the billing amount.

6.                  Check receipts against your online monthly billing statements to verify all your transactions. Report any unauthorized transactions immediately.

7.                  Be careful while entering your credit card number and other details online. Provide these details only on a secure webpage. Check for the padlock icon, on the bottom bar of the browser to ensure that the site is running in secure mode before you enter sensitive information. Check credentials of the secure certification by clicking on the padlock symbol.  Also check web address in the address bar. It should start with https:// on a secure webpage.   Note  ‘s’  in https:// signifying secure web page.

8.                  Keep a list of all your card numbers and make sure they're in a secure place.

9.                  Do not keep multiple electronic cards in the same partition in the wallet to prevent damage of the cards
